Greg Gerlach, General Manager
Greg is in his 8th year as the General Manager of Gopher Sports Properties, overseeing the University of Minnesota branch of Learfield Sports. Prior to his time with GSP, Greg was a Corporate Sales Executive for the Minnesota Wild during their first four years of the franchise in St. Paul. Greg attended Drake University where he was a football student-athlete and also received a Master’s degree from Western Illinois University in Sport Management. Greg, his wife Nicole, and their 2 sons (Graham – 8, Foster – 5), reside in Falcon Heights.
Ann Counihan, Sales Coordinator
Ann is in her 5th year as the Sales Coordinator of Gopher Sports Properties, assisting Greg Gerlach with managing the property and all GSP Account Executives with administrative duties. Ann also serves on the South St. Paul School Board and is actively involved in the community. Ann, her husband Brian and their 3 daughters (Megan – 16, Kelly – 15, Annie – 11) reside in South St. Paul.
Nate Schultz, Associate General Manager
Nate is currently in his 8th year with Gopher Sports Properties and was recently named Associate General Manager. Prior to his time in Minnesota, Nate served as the Sales Coordinator at Badger Sports Properties for nearly 2 years, the University of Wisconsin branch of Learfield Sports. Nate and his wife Leah live in Rosemount, MN.
Matt Sherman, Senior Account Executive
Matt is entering his 4th year as a Senior Account Executive with GSP. Matt worked in Medical Sales prior to his time with GSP, and also volunteers as a Football Coach at Eastview High School. Matt played quarterback at the University of Iowa from ’94-’98. Matt and his wife Betsi currently reside in Apple Valley and have two children, Cade (4) and Drew (2).
Teresa Grim, Account Executive
Teresa is in her 2nd year as an Account Executive with Gopher Sports Properties. She has been involved in Gopher Sports for more than 15 years, most recently serving on the board and as President of the Gopher Football Goal Line Club. Prior to working at GSP, Teresa sold sports sponsorships for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Vikings and WCCO Radio. Teresa graduated from the U of M with a degree in Sports Management. She and her husband, David Grim, live in Stillwater and have three children, Morgan (10), Lily (9) and Oliver (5).
Ryan McDonald, Account Executive
Ryan is in his 1st year as an Account Executive with Gopher Sports Properties. Ryan is a native of London, Ontario, Canada. He attended Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada where he received his degree in Sport Management. Prior to GSP, Ryan spent 4 years as a Partnership Sales Executive with the Chicago Wolves AHL Hockey Team. Ryan and his fiance Cristen live in Maple Grove.
Chad Jackson, Business Development Manager
Chad is in his 1st year as the Business Development Manager at Gopher Sports Properties. Prior to his time with GSP, Chad worked in Corporate Sales for the Minnesota Twins and BlueWater Direct. More recently, Chad held the role as Manager of Business Development and Delivery for the Summit Group. Chad graduated from Augsburg College with a degree in Elementary Education. He and his wife Kammie reside in Shoreview with their 3 children, Tollie (6), Layla (4), and Shay (2).
Doug Woog, New Business Consultant
Doug is in his 8th year with Gopher Sports Properties. Doug’s role recently changed, with him focusing more on new potential partners with GSP. Doug also runs his famous hockey camps each summer at Breezy Point Resort and acts as the Color Commentator for Gopher Hockey on Fox Sports North. Doug and his wife Janice reside in South St. Paul, and have 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
Collin Brezny, Intern
Collin is in his 2nd year as an Intern with Gopher Sports Properties. He is beginning his 2nd year of education at the University of Minnesota. He is currently working towards a degree in Business Education and Marketing with a minor in Management. Besides working at GSP, Collin is a cook at Somerset Country Club in Mendota Heights, MN. After graduation, Collin hopes to continue his career in Sports Management and Finance.
